Desi Arnaz (1917-1986)

On December 2, 1986 Desi Arnaz passed away at the age of 69. It seems odd that the happy occasion of Desi's marriage to his first wife and true love, Lucille Ball, would come so close to the sad occasion of his death. But, let's not be sad today! Let's all remember the talented, innovative and wonderful singer, musician, actor, director, writer, producer, entrepreneur (and more!) that Desi Arnaz was.

Desi Arnaz was born Desiderio Alberto Arnaz y De Acha III on March 2, 1917 in Santiago, Cuba. He once said that he was thankful to America for the opportunities it had presented to him. He felt honored and proud to have served in the military for the country he felt had given him and his family so much. Today all of us worldwide are thankful for him.
