"I Love Lucy" Director To Be Honored

The Desert Sun reported that American Director William Asher, will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the second annual Celebration of the Stars in Palm Springs, California. Asher directed 20 episodes of "I Love Lucy" from 1953 to 1957.

Recently Asher discussed Lucille Ball in Palm Springs Life Magazine:

Lucy was natural. Her instincts were very sharp. Many times the scenes would be filmed in just one long take. But if they weren't right, we would do them for as long as it took to make it right.
