Wildcats Designer, 90, Still Designing

Costume Designer, 90, Still Has Designs On Future

As we watched the six-foot-seven man examine the various colorful fabric samples, we wondered how many miles of fabric store isles Alvin Colt had logged since leaving his native Kentucky and coming to Manhattan via Yale's drama school. "My Broadway debut On The Town was in 1944," he told me.

...There was a sketch from "Guys and Dolls", the original production in 1950. Then , another of an outfit for Lucille Ball in a show called Wild Cat. The sketch for a dress Julie Harris wore as Joan of Arc in the 1955 production,"Lark".
